Beginning Fly Tying Classes
4 Hours $65
Saturday November 10 and 17 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Fly tying classes and sessions for beginners and intermediate level tyers are normally scheduled for October through April with additional classes scheduled throughout the season. (See schedule below)
Beginning classes teach the basics of
materials, tool usage and tying techniques and last two sessions
scheduled 1 week apart. Class sessions start at 7 PM and end about
9:30 PM during the week and run from 10:00 AM to Noon on Saturdays.
Classes are limited to 7 students per class so that each tyer receives individual attention.
Introductory and Intermediate classes cost $65 for the two-week
session which includes a copy of Skip Morris' Fly Tying Made
Clear and Simple, plus all materials and tools plus instruction notes.
Intermediate to advanced classes relate to specialized topics such as Deer Hair Bass Bugs, Spring Creek Patterns, Salmon & Steelhead patterns, or Midwest Trout patterns, for example. These are great classes to increase your techniques and skills; each topic is different.
